COMPAQ N620C在RH 9中的网卡BCM5705M安装问题

我用的是笔记本COMPAQ的N620C里面的网卡是Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ehternet好象支持1000M的我安装不上去，那位高手帮帮忙，谢谢了

The nc6000 has a Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5705M chip which supports Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000). The Linux kernel includes the bcm5700 or tg3driver for these chipsets. As of 2.4.23 and 2.6.0-test7 (and higher), the chipset is detected fine and the card works without any problems.

我想知道怎么样才能升级内核2.6.6，我的机子没有软区，只有光驱，而且我的机子现在分2种一个是2000，用的是NTFS格式，另外的是用LINUX是用的是EXT3的格式，现在应该如何装内核？

先把nfts加载上，方法在Redhat/Fedora讨论区中就有，安装一个支持nfts的rpm包就行了。然后在windows中下载linux-2.6.6的内核，到linux中mount NTFS分区，并把内核拷到/usr/src目录中。
