说一下，我在MAIGC LINUX上chroot硬盘安装的，这个提示在我单独启动到gentoo依旧这样

x11和server都是在纯gentoo系统里装的，这个问题已搞定，现在是KDE4的问题
请教如何安装KDE4，emerge -a kdebase-meta看要装的包都是3.5.10的

楼主应该知道，这是提示你运行 etc-update 命令更新 /etc下的配置。

2. 有一个新闻需要您阅读，请使用 eselect news 来阅读它。
楼主应该学会使用 eselect 。
您需要 emerge eselect-news
如果查看有哪些news： eselect news list
如果阅读标题为“abc”的新闻： eselect news read abc
按照你的提示，应该运行： eselect news read 2009-07-12-xorg-74-alpha

ps, 搞不定就去看安装手册，仔细看！

谢谢了，刚在看gentoo的英文网页，不过本人英文不怎么样，呵呵，也看到etc-update这个了，正在试验
另外之前装了eselect，以为news应该也一起装了的，之前运行的时候提示news module can't load，原来是没装的原因

这个我还不知道，本来是我在虚拟机上编译gentoo的，内核编译两遍过后搞的能进系统了，但虚拟机的网卡没有驱动起来，昨天直接在真机里面装了。有光驱，但没有CDR，想硬盘安装，网上看了资料，最后决定在ML的终端里编译安装gentoo，
stage3和portage都是提前下载好的，安装过程还算顺利

/etc下面的config更新还是推荐用dispatch-conf来更新比较好，提供备份

不知道为什么，KDE4安装不上去，按照文档里的做，看显示的包，都是3.5.10啊，怎么样才能装kde4.3

kdebase-meta，你再看看。

不要 emerge kde 或者 emerge kdebase，這都不再支持。
