xterm Xt error: Can't open display: cam11:0.0

Can you start X? Did you start xterm in console?

看到有人介绍FC4不用启动 X 一样响应来其他客户端，我是用console开的xterm啊！
实际操作是这样的：
本机IP : 192.168.0.22
在terminal下，敲入：
% setenv DISPLAY 192.168.0.22:0.0
% xterm

然后出现这样的提示！

或者，在另一台linux机上：
% setenv DISPLAY 192.168.0.22:0.0
% xterm
一样出现这个错误！
