1024x600该怎么写虚拟桌面 ？

我用的是1024x600的上网本，头痛的问题是一些程序总是超过屏幕的而看不到下面几个键是什么,  弄得我只能嗐猜下面几个键是什么用Tab键按过去，这显然不是办法. 想从/etc/X11/xorg.con里面改, 但总不成功。1024x600该怎样做虚拟桌面? 或者能实现象Ubuntu那样分开几个工作区，这样从另一个工作区能看到目前窗口不能看到的部分。

我用的是xfce4的桌面.

/etc/X11/xorg.conf 里面是这样写的, 里面写的virtual 好象根本不起作用.

谢谢回复。但我不是很明白, 这篇文章是让我设正确的dpi, 不是虚拟的. 加上去重启xwindows没什么变化.

我在/etc/X11/xorg.conf里面加上了

Section "Monitor"
   ......
         DisplaySize   220 133  
   ......
EndSection


现在输出是:
~ $ xdpyinfo | grep resolution
resolution:    117x117 dots per inch
~ $ xdpyinfo | grep dimensions
dimensions:    1024x600 pixels (220x133 millimeters)

有没有办法弄成Ubuntu那样的把一个窗口分在不同工作区?

不好意思，我没看清楚
虚拟桌面设置xfce就可以了
好像xfdesktop可以，我没用过xfce，不太清楚

1. Modes "1024x768" "1024x600" "800x600" "640x480"

Modes 行的先后有区别的，把 "1024x768" 移到 "1024x600" 后面或者删掉试试

另外，提供一个曲线救国的方法，大部分 WM 都支持按住 Alt 然后用鼠标左键抓住窗体任何地方拖动的功能。

不知哪位大侠能讲解一下Ubuntu里把一个程序的窗口分开到不同的工作区间是怎么实现的。

抱歉，是我理解错你的意思，原来你是想要虚拟桌面的效果
man xorg.conf 里有这么一句，不知道是不是原因，或者会不会因为能用的显存不够大（不知道 X 的具体实现是否有这个要求）

1.        Virtual  xdim ydim
   
2.               This  optional  entry specifies the virtual screen resolution to
   
3.               be used.  xdim must be a multiple of either 8  or  16  for  most
   
4.               drivers,  and  a multiple of 32 when running in monochrome mode.
   
5.               The given value will be rounded down if this is  not  the  case.
   
6.               Video  modes  which are too large for the specified virtual size
   
7.               will be rejected.  If this entry is  not  present,  the  virtual
   
8.               screen resolution will be set to accommodate all the valid video

我也没设成1280x1024, 但它自己自动就跑到这个分辨率。但真要设成1024x768, 它还是不认帐.

我现在感兴趣的是怎么实现把一个程序的窗口分在不同的工作区。我用 Ubuntu启动盘启动电脑可以实现这个, 但也看不出其/etc/X11/xorg.conf有什么特别.
