Help! Something wrong with the root partition /dev/sda6 [Solved]

是livecd启动后在执行的么?

先umount /dev/sda6 在执行试试

No. I cannot start gentoo because something wrong with the partition. There is another linux installed in my laptop is puppy linux, but fsck cannot fix the problem.

Please help me. Thanks!

I cannot mount it either. I had tried e2fsck, fsck, but all failed.

Is there any way to fix the partition problem? I am on a business trip to another country now, and I need to get the laptop work right away.

I don't have rescue disk on hand now, the only way I can use is puppy linux.

Thanks to newsky_. Finally I solved this partition.

# mke2fs -n -S /dev/sda4

It shows many backup blocks as this:

1. 
   
2. Superblock backups stored on blocks:32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912

then I tried

# e2fsck -b 98304 /dev/sda6

Fix the partition now. Cheers!
