Why don't give a try to newer driver?

Also I recommend using bin files which automatically do the job for you.So far, I think NVIDIA's driver is the best, though not under GPL. I am using 5xxx series, and I think 6xxx series is fine too, maybe better.5xxx series driver has a perfect precomplied module for my original RH 9 which is using kernel 2.4.x, and after upgrading to kernel 2.6.7, it compiled a fresh module that still works perfect. |
