Linux网络用Winnt打印机通不过验证

服务器是win98的,nnd,怎么办.

查了很多帖子，都是同样的问题，都没有解决，真的不行？
我用fedora core 3或者2，连网络上的打印机。以前联过winxp的，有用户名与密码，没有问题，正常打印。可是现在这台用的是winnt，打印机共享的时候，没法同时设用户名与密码，只能设一个密码或者不用任何密码，跟win98一样。而在linux里面添加的时候，死活让输入用户名与密码，否则通不过验证。输入任何用户名跟密码都不正确。而文件共享就丝毫没有问题。
请问怎么解决阿？

It may relate to how the printer share is defined in your NT and also how your NT is participating in the network.  Please provide more information.

在windows中建一个帐户，比如是winprint ，在linux中也要建一个同样的帐号，而且还得在linux中配置smbuser，当然也的是winprint

南北兄,我用你的方法还是不能通过验证啊.你看看我的步骤队不对.
1. 在winnt下面建立user: guest,密码printuser
2. Fedora 3下面建立 guest:printuser
3. cat /etc/passwd |mksmbpasswd.sh >/etc/samba/smbpasswd
然后,添加网罗打印机,还是通不过验证.

Win Nt打印机共享是不需要用户跟密码的.

不好意思,那台机器是win98,不过也添不上.

This is applied when NT is participating in the NT domain.

对不起观众,那台机器原来是win98的.查了很多帖子,都是同样的问题,好像无法解决.现在共享那台机器的文件完全正常,就差打印机.用linux办公,难啊!

I am not 100% certain if this is correct.  Normally, I use smbpasswd -a username to add the password to /etc/samba/smbpasswd

Try this method and see if it works.

Alternatively, try not to use encrypted password, i.e. plain text password to see if your printer works.

我放弃了。98是不能设用户的，共享只有用密码跟不用密码之选项。跟linux本地的用户应该没有关系吧。
